1. Provider and Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) apply to the use of the website huunt.ai, the Huunt app, and all related services and functions (together, the “Services”) by end users.
The provider and contractual partner is:
Huunt GmbH
Knesebeckstraße 76
10623 Berlin
Germany
Commercial Register: Local Court of Berlin (Charlottenburg), HRB 270591 B
VAT ID No.: DE456960817
Represented by the Managing Director: Kevin Gallas Mayer
Any deviating terms of the user shall not become part of the contract unless Huunt expressly agrees to their applicability in text form.
2. Target Group, Minimum Age, and Contract Language
2.1 B2C Offer
Huunt is an offer exclusively for private end users for their own job search and applications. The Services are not intended for employers, recruiters, or other businesses. Separate terms shall apply to any future B2B services.
2.2 Minimum Age
Use of the Services is permitted only for persons who have reached the age of 18. This applies to registration, the free trial phase, the Free Plan, and all paid plans.
2.3 Contract Language
The contract language is German. Huunt may provide content, functions, and help texts in additional languages. These language versions are provided solely for better understanding. Only the German version shall be authoritative for legal interpretation.
3. Huunt Services
3.1 Basic Principle
Huunt is an AI-supported platform for job search and applications. Depending on the plan, Huunt supports users in particular with:
- setting up and managing an application profile,
- searching for and evaluating suitable job postings,
- creating, structuring, and optimizing resumes,
- creating and preparing application documents,
- sending applications by email,
- managing attachments, application histories, and communication data.
3.2 No Placement Contract, No Employment Agency Services
Huunt does not provide employment placement services within the meaning of statutory provisions and, in particular, does not owe any application success, job interview, or employment contract.
Huunt acts solely in the interest of the respective user. Huunt does not sell preferred placement of applicants to employers and does not favor employers in return for payment.
3.3 No Autonomous Final Decision
Huunt may automatically prepare content, suggestions, job evaluations, application documents, and communication drafts. The final decision whether and where the user applies always remains with the user.
4. Registration and User Account
4.1 Registration
A user account is required to use the Services. Registration is currently possible in particular via:
- email registration,
- registration with Google,
- registration with LinkedIn.
4.2 Preliminary Entries Before Registration
Huunt may allow users, even before completing registration, to provide certain job-search-related information or upload a resume. If registration is not completed afterward, this pre-contractual data will not be stored permanently.
4.3 Account Information and Currency
The user is obliged to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it where necessary.
4.4 Account Security
The user is responsible for protecting access to their email address and account against unauthorized access. If misuse is suspected, Huunt must be informed without undue delay.
5. Free Trial Phase and Free Plan
5.1 Automatic 7-Day Trial Phase
Upon successful creation of a user account, a 7-day free trial phase of the Bewerbung Plus plan starts automatically.
No payment details are required for this trial phase.
5.2 No Automatic Conversion into a Paid Contract
The free trial phase does not automatically convert into a paid contract. If the user wishes to continue using paid functions after the trial phase ends, the user must actively purchase a paid product.
5.3 Automatic Downgrade to the Free Plan
After the 7-day trial phase ends, the account is automatically downgraded to the free basic access plan (“Free Plan”).
5.4 Free Plan
Only limited functions are available in the Free Plan. Huunt may further describe and adjust the specific scope of functions of the Free Plan on the website, in the app, or during checkout.
6. Paid Plans and Conclusion of Contract
6.1 Current Plans
Huunt currently offers, in particular, the following paid products:
a) Jobsuche Basic
as a monthly or multi-month subscription.
b) Bewerbung Plus
as a monthly or multi-month subscription.
c) Förderpaket Plus
as a product with a fixed 6-month term and no ongoing automatic renewal.
The current prices, billing intervals, and service scopes are displayed on the website, in the app, and during checkout before the contract is concluded. The information displayed at the time the contract is concluded shall be decisive.
6.2 Key Differences in Services
The specific scope of services of the plans results from the current service description in the ordering process, on the plan pages, and in the product presentation.
Huunt may distinguish in particular between:
- free basic access,
- AI-supported job search,
- manual application functions,
- AI-assisted application functions,
- quotas for AI-assisted applications,
- ongoing AI assistance via chat.
6.3 AI-Assisted Applications in Bewerbung Plus / Förderpaket Plus
Bewerbung Plus and Förderpaket Plus currently include up to 30 AI-assisted applications per month. Unused monthly quotas are not carried over to subsequent months.
6.4 Conclusion of Contract
The contract for a paid product is concluded when the user completes the ordering process and clicks the clearly payment-obligating order button.
Before the contract is concluded, the user is shown the essential features, the term, the total price, any renewal logic, and the withdrawal information.
6.5 Payment Processing
Payment processing takes place via Stripe Hosted Checkout. Huunt may adjust the payment methods offered at any time.
7. Term, Renewal, Cancellation, and Account Deletion
7.1 Term and Renewal
As a general rule, the following applies to paid products:
- Monthly subscriptions run for an indefinite period and automatically renew by one additional month each unless effectively cancelled.
- Products with a fixed initial term or prepayment period may be offered with a fixed initial term. Unless such products end automatically after the initial term, they will continue afterward for an indefinite period. The applicable renewal logic, the time of transition, and the price applicable thereafter are shown to the user in the order overview before the contract is concluded.
- Förderpaket Plus has a fixed term of 6 months and ends automatically without further renewal.
The information displayed in the order overview at the time the contract is concluded shall be decisive.
7.2 Cancellation of Ongoing Subscriptions
The user may deactivate the automatic renewal of a subscription at any time with effect at the end of the current billing period.
If a product continues for an indefinite period after a fixed initial term, cancellation is possible after the end of the initial term with a notice period of no more than one month.
After the cancellation becomes effective, the account is automatically downgraded to the Free Plan.
7.3 Cancellation Button
Huunt provides consumers with the legally required electronic cancellation option via the website. It is accessible without login and allows ordinary cancellations as well as, where applicable, extraordinary cancellations. Huunt confirms receipt electronically for any cancellation submitted through this route.
7.4 No Pro-Rata Refund in Case of Ordinary Cancellation
In the event of ordinary cancellation or deactivation of automatic renewal, no pro-rata refund will be made for the billing period already in progress.
7.5 Account Deletion
The user may delete their account. Upon complete account deletion:
- access to paid functions ends immediately,
- ongoing subscriptions are terminated at the same time,
- no pro-rata refund is made unless mandatory law requires otherwise,
- personal data is deleted unless statutory retention obligations prevent this.
8. Förderpaket Plus
8.1 Product Nature
Förderpaket Plus is a paid 6-month package with the functions of Bewerbung Plus. It is not an ongoing subscription.
8.2 No Funding Commitment
Förderpaket Plus is designed as a product that may potentially qualify for funding under Section 44 SGB III. However, Huunt does not give any assurance or guarantee that funding or reimbursement of costs will be granted by the Employment Agency, Jobcenter, or other bodies.
Any funding or assumption of costs is decided solely by the competent body in each individual case and is outside Huunt’s sphere of influence.
8.3 Clarification Before Booking
Users are solely responsible for clarifying possible funding before booking with their competent office and contact person. A denied, missing, or omitted funding decision does not affect the validity of the contract with Huunt.
Any misconception or mistaken assumption by the user that Förderpaket Plus will certainly be funded, reimbursed, or provided free of charge shall also not give rise to any claim against Huunt for free use, reimbursement, contract adjustment, or special cancellation, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
8.4 Self-Payment Possible
Förderpaket Plus may also be booked as a regular paid product without any funding.
8.5 Confirmation Before Purchase
Booking Förderpaket Plus requires the user, before completing the order, to expressly confirm that they have read and understood the information regarding possible funding. Without this confirmation, booking is not possible.
9. Referral Program for End Users
9.1 General
Huunt may make a referral program (“Referral Program”) available to end users through which users can share personal referral links or codes with friends and acquaintances.
9.2 No Sending in the User’s Name
Huunt does not automatically send invitations to third parties in the user’s name. The user shares their referral link or code themselves.
9.3 Benefits
Huunt may grant vouchers, discounts, or other benefits for successful referrals. Huunt may define and amend the specific conditions, eligibility requirements, limits, redemption conditions, and campaign details on the website, in the app, or in the relevant program notice.
9.4 Abuse
Abuse, in particular through multiple accounts, fictitious registrations, revoked sham bookings, or other circumvention practices, is not permitted. In such cases, Huunt may refuse, cancel, or reverse benefits already granted.
9.5 Expiry of Benefits
Benefits from the Referral Program may lapse in particular in the event of withdrawal from the underlying paid contract, abuse, or account deletion.
10. Usage Rules and Prohibited Conduct
The user undertakes to use the Services only in accordance with applicable law and these GTC.
In particular, the following is prohibited:
- providing false or misleading information about one’s person, qualifications, or work experience,
- using third-party identities,
- deploying malware, scripts, or automations to impair the Services,
- circumventing security mechanisms,
- sending applications in bulk or abusively,
- uploading unlawful, discriminatory, insulting, or otherwise impermissible content,
- abusing accounts or benefits through multiple registrations.
In the event of violations, Huunt may block content, restrict accounts, or terminate contracts for cause.
11. User Content and Duties to Cooperate
11.1 User Content
User content includes, in particular, resumes, personal details, uploaded documents, cover letters, templates, chat responses, and other content provided by the user.
11.2 Responsibility for User Content
The user is solely responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and completeness of their content.
11.3 Right of Use in Favor of Huunt
The user grants Huunt the rights of use in the content provided that are necessary for performance of the contract. This includes, in particular, storage, technical processing, analysis, formatting, conversion, creation of drafts, and — where released by the user — transmission to potential employers.
12. AI Functions, Translations, and User Responsibility
12.1 AI-Supported Content
Huunt uses AI-supported systems to analyze, structure, formulate, translate, or personalize content.
12.2 No Guarantee of Truth or Success
AI-generated content may be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for the individual case concerned. This also applies to translations, job evaluations, application recommendations, and automatically generated text suggestions.
12.3 Duty of Review by the User
The user is obliged to carefully review all content generated or prepared by Huunt before using it. This applies in particular to application documents, translations, and dispatch processes.
12.4 Translations
Language versions, translations of job postings, and other AI translations are provided as an aid to understanding. Huunt does not guarantee that such translations are complete, error-free, or suitable for every cultural, professional, or country-specific application context.
The user is obliged to review translations before use on their own responsibility for linguistic, substantive, and contextual suitability.
13. Application Dispatch and Communication
13.1 Types of Dispatch
Depending on the plan and product function, Huunt may either:
- prepare applications for the user to send themselves, or
- send them via the platform upon the user’s express approval.
13.2 Public Application Addresses
At present, Huunt only sends applications to public application email addresses expressly stated in the respective job posting.
13.3 No Dispatch Without User Approval
Huunt does not send applications without the user’s prior active approval.
13.4 Technical Communication Functions
Huunt may provide technical communication functions that serve the dispatch, receipt, or management of application-related communication. Huunt may change the scope and design of such functions in the course of further development.
14. Intellectual Property and Rights of Use
All rights to the Services, the software, designs, trademarks, texts, databases, and other content of Huunt remain with Huunt or the respective rights holders.
For the duration of the contract, Huunt grants the user a simple, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services in accordance with the contract for their own private purposes.
15. Feedback, Reviews, and Testimonials
If users submit feedback, reviews, comments, or testimonials to Huunt via the integrated feedback tool, Huunt may use them for internal improvement purposes.
Huunt may also use and publish such content for communication and marketing purposes, in particular with a shortened name, initials, professional title, or profile picture, to the extent legally permissible and released by the user in the individual case.
16. Availability, Changes, and Further Development of the Services
16.1 Availability
Huunt endeavors to ensure high availability of the Services but does not owe uninterrupted availability.
16.2 Further Development
Huunt may further develop, adapt, restrict, or modify the Services technically, functionally, and in terms of design, provided there is an objective reason for doing so and the legitimate interests of users are duly taken into account.
16.3 Changes to Digital Services
To the extent that statutory provisions on digital products apply to the contract, changes shall only be made within the scope of the statutory requirements.
16.4 Future Functions Not Yet Live
Huunt may indicate on the website, in product information, mockups, screenshots, demos, or other representations functions that are planned or intended for the future. Such references do not establish any claim by the user to provision of the function as long as the function is not expressly provided as part of the booked product.
17. Data Protection
The processing of personal data is governed by Huunt’s Privacy Policy in its current version.
18. Liability
18.1 Unlimited Liability
Huunt shall be liable without limitation:
- in cases of intent and gross negligence,
- for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health,
- under the German Product Liability Act,
- insofar as mandatory statutory liability applies.
18.2 Liability for Simple Negligence
In cases of simple negligence, Huunt shall only be liable for breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) and only for the damage typically foreseeable at the time.
18.3 No Liability for Success
In particular, Huunt shall not be liable for:
- whether a user finds a job,
- whether applications are successful,
- whether employers respond,
- whether job postings are accurate, current, or complete,
- whether AI-generated content is error-free or optimal for every individual case.
This shall not apply insofar as Huunt is mandatorily liable.
19. Indemnification
The user shall indemnify Huunt against third-party claims based on unlawful use of the Services attributable to the user or on unlawful user content.
20. Consumer Dispute Resolution
Huunt is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
21. Final Provisions
21.1 Applicable Law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. In relation to consumers, this applies only insofar as the protection granted by mandatory provisions of the state of the consumer’s habitual residence is not withdrawn.
21.2 Place of Jurisdiction
To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction shall be Berlin. Mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.
21.3 Partial Invalidity
Should individual provisions of these GTC be wholly or partly invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
